About BACWO

BACWO (Bangur Avenue Children Welfare Organisation)is a non-government non-profit organisation based out of Kolkata in the state of West of Bengal. Kolkata city, erstwhile Calcutta, is also known in INDIA as "City of Joy" and has history of 300 years.

BACWO (Bangur Avenue Children Welfare Organisation) established in year 2015, aims to work for an underprivileged section of our society and committed to reach to last person in the queue, who is waiting for a hand extending help from our society, in order to come to terms with life. Inspired by one of the greatest son of our soil, Swami Vivekananda and Raja Ram Mohan Roy for their contribution to our society through their philanthropic activities, BACWO engages with the underprivileged children in the field of education and sport. We aim to engage further with varied social activities in coming days.

We at BACWO aims to groom children to unleash their talent where they get opportunity to compete at par with privileged section of society. We provide Computer Literacy to children so that they develop interest for technology keeping in pace with society. BACWO also engages children in football and coach them to excel in their sports career.

BACWO is a registered NGO with Government of West Bengal. We ensure compliance with all statutory rules and government regulations time to time. We actively ensure that all voluntary aid reach the target section of society and meets its objective. We strive to ensure transparent accounting system and highest documentation standards in line with the statutory requirements.

Life at BACWO can only be experienced while being a part of BACWO "where BACWO open windows to learn with fun in a healthy environment ". BACWO is an effort towards SELF-RELIANT INDIA. BACWO is a movement presently supported by members and volunteers, who are volunteering their selfless efforts. We intend to grow with children and seek support from all section of society who believes in our spirit.
